Ribbon Cable Set For Porsche 911 996 Speedometer Instrument Cluster Pixel Repair

For sale is a set of the 3 ribbon cables for Porsche 911 (996.1) and Boxter (986.1) instrument cluster pixel repair up to year 2001.

This is NOT an easy DIY. Experience in ribbon cable installation (bonding) as well as in the electronics assembling / disassembling is highly preferred.

The installation should include:

– instrument cluster disassembling

– removal of the old ribbon cables

– cleaning up all the residuals from the old ribbon cables

– properly aligning and heat bonding the new cables with the bonding machine or T-Tip soldering tool (see our other listings).

The replacement cluster may be very expensive, so please make sure that you know what are your doing!

We do provide the pixel repair service in case you don’t feel comfortable with ribbon cable installation. We also have the replacement LCD screen in our other listings should your LCD screen is being damaged.

Please note, that this set will NOT fit newer instrument cluster with dot-matrix displays (996.2, 986.2 – 2002 and up)
