Step 1: Disconnect the Battery
Disconnect your vehicle battery before starting to avoid electrical damage.
Step 2: Remove the Instrument Cluster
- Remove trim panels around the cluster
- Unscrew mounting screws
- Gently pull the cluster forward
- Disconnect wiring harnesses
Tip: Take photos during removal for easier reinstallation.
Step 3: Package the Unit
- Wrap in 2–3 layers of bubble wrap
- Place in a sturdy box with padding
- Use an anti-static bag if available
- Do not use envelopes
Step 4: Include Information
- Name and return address
- Order number
- Contact details
- Description of the issue
Step 5: Ship Your Package
Use a trackable carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and consider insurance.
Step 6: Reinstall
- Reconnect wiring
- Reinstall cluster and trim
- Reconnect battery
